Today, we continue to bring you the brands that you love but are striving to create our own brand. the "Rapid Detect brand name" as we feel that we have your trust and confidence due our longevity as a business, and the relationship that we constantly strive to maintain.
Why do disposable test kits cost so much?
It is our goal to seek out drug testing products that work well but understand that they will be used only once as they are disposable in nature and will be trashed after a single use unless needed for lab confirmation. There are test kits today where the plastic is such a superior quality that it will take years to biodegrade back to the earth. Overuse of plastics is a major problem for our planet, the ocean, and its tributaries. In the state of California, food workers can be fined thousands of dollars for handing a straw to a customer that did not request one.
The expense is being handed down to the buyer when we feel that it is completely unnecessary. We at Rapid Detect will have great working drug tests with FDA 510(k) Clearance. (except for K2 and saliva drug tests) that is guaranteed to work, they will have industry standard accuracy but you won't mind throwing them away after a single use. This will result in saving you cash dollars with the benefit of a workable product.
What are the most important elements of a drug test that manufacturers must be concerned about?
- The Test Devices Functionality
Ensuring that all the components of the test design are functioning at a high enough capacity needed to appropriately measure the accuracy of the device so that correct test results are displayed.
The quality of the test strips and their chemical components
- Is the urine or the saliva going to equally reach all of the test strips so that a proper test result occurs at a high percentage of the time? This usually is not a hard task to achieve.
- On most drug test kits of today, a built-in control is provided so that when the test is run it will communicate to inform you that the device is working properly with a yes or no answer. This is displayed by a line showing up in the control region of the test results window and should be confirmed initially before recording your test results.
This is where manufacturers do not want to go cheap. As the test strips come into contact with the urine or saliva specimen the chemicals positioned on the test strips have a reaction. if drugs are present in the specimen the chemicals will trigger an assumptive positive result.
Most instant drugs of abuse test kits of today are to be confirmed by GCMS confirmation using a SAMSHA approved laboratory.
How addiction works
According to an article NIH website (the National Institute on Drug Abuse)
"Many people don't understand why or how other people become addicted to drugs. They may mistakenly think that those who use drugs lack moral principles or willpower and that they could stop their drug use simply by choosing to. In reality, drug addiction is a complex disease, and quitting usually takes more than good intentions or a strong will. Drugs change the brain in ways that make quitting hard, even for those who want to. Fortunately, researchers know more than ever about how drugs affect the brain and have found treatments that can help people recover from drug addiction and lead productive lives".
How drugs affect the brain
The human brain is the most complex organ in the body—you need it to drive a car, to enjoy a meal, to breathe, to create an artistic masterpiece, and to enjoy everyday activities. In brief, the brain regulates your body’s basic functions; enables you to interpret and respond to everything you experience; and shapes your thoughts, emotions, and behavior. Drugs, however, can alter important brain areas that are necessary for life-sustaining functions and can drive the compulsive drug abuse that marks addiction. As a result, NIDA supports a large body of neuroscience research that can provide clues how better to manage and prevent substance use disorders.
The mindset of a drug user
Ambitions of certain drug users make drug addiction a hard task.Participants in many studies are confirmed drug users. They have no interest in quitting drug use and have declined the treatment opportunities
Rapid drug tests are a powerful tool in the hands of those that possess the knowledge and passion for the identification of illicit drugs.
